Auburn Gymnastics
As hosts of the 2005 NCAA Gymnastics Championships, Auburn Athletics approached Baseline with the express intent of making a killer poster, titled "The Journey Home." It may sound obvious, but that kind of enthusiasm and planning are key factors in a truly great project, no matter what the scope.
Referring to our design for 2003-04 UGA Men's Basketball poster, Auburn asked us to put a similar spotlight on every member of their team, with special focus on the three graduating seniors.
As is often the case, the same theme carried over successfully to Auburn Gymnastics Media Guide cover, and we always encourage this kind of synergy between Marketing and Sports Information.
Many weeks prior to their hoped-for deadline, AU had arranged with a local photographer to shoot the team in a studio environment, so Baseline was able to offer some preliminary art direction, including advice about lighting and composition, as well as technical assistance concerning resolution and file transfers.
The results were fantastic, and-long story short-"The Journey Home" became one of our most successful posters efforts of the year.
